This is 天風. I mentioned in a previous article that I would like to monetize this blog. I think one way to do that is through affiliate marketing . Below are some thoughts about the books I read about blogging affiliates.

Is it difficult to become an affiliate?

  It's difficult to monetize through affiliate marketing. '' The blog owner has run several blogs in the past, but they didn't last long and he gave up. As for how long I've been doing it, it's been as short as 2 or 3 months, and as long as half a year, which is understandable, but I haven't had any experience monetizing my blog yet.

 However, blog owners are seriously thinking about monetization these days. That is a backwater formation. More specifically, I strongly felt that working like a salaryman was not suitable for being a blog owner . When this happened, monetizing my blog became one of the solutions, and I became keenly aware that I had to seriously study online business. My level of seriousness is different from before.

 This may be a shady motive, but when I looked at other affiliate introduction sites, I learned that those who have been with them for a long time are able to monetize at a high rate. Why can't many people make money from blogging? I think it's just a lack of patience .

 From my experience as a blog owner, the main reason why I couldn't continue blogging was that it was difficult to see results from blogging. A blog is not something that can attract customers overnight. It takes a long time to build up trust and become famous.

 And the blog owner is skeptical, but what about the next fact? I didn't know. On the affiliate introduction site I mentioned earlier, when you first start blogging, there are no people looking at your blog, but at some point, people suddenly start coming .

 Of course, people won't come to blogs that aren't interesting, but blogs that put some effort into their blogs seem to produce results. In order to do that, you have to continue for many years and wait for the time when that sudden rush of people will come. That's why the blog owner decided to seriously try monetizing his blog.


 Self-branding on blogs

 Now, to put it in an exaggerated way, this reference book made me realize that unless you're a strategist, you can't attract customers with a blog .

 First of all, I mentioned above that persistence is important, but other important things are ``Why is this article read by many people?'' or ``Why is this article not read by many people?'' You can improve your blogging skills by always trying to analyze cause and effect . You can't attract customers just by writing a blog. That requires a strategy.

 One of the strategies is whether you are promoting a product or a blog owner .

 If your purpose is to promote a product like the former, it seems that you will need advanced blogging skills. You will need to put in the effort to create a blog from the beginning to match the product you are promoting.

 If the purpose is to promote the blog owner like the latter, the concept of so-called self- branding is important. By producing yourself like a famous blogger, the blog owner's popularity will increase.

 If you are a blog owner, you don't have a particular product you want to sell. However, if there are people who can gain something based on the blog owner's knowledge , I would like to make some money along with it. However, the ideal is to earn a living through blogging. So, if you are a blog owner, you are marketing yourself to your readers.
