In beauty rankings, people tend to vote for people who everyone else thinks are beautiful rather than people they think

Hello. This is Tenmei Watanabe from Seito Medical School. There is such a thing as a self-fulfilling prophecy. In other words, if you wish, it will come true. If enough people want something, it will naturally happen.

I've been thinking about investment tools lately. Investment tools are used by many investors. I don't know much about it either, but each tool has its own meaning.

As with the episode about investors predicting beauty, things that everyone thinks will go up in price do so. Conversely, things that you think will go down in price will go down in price.

If you think the price is going to go up, you buy that stock, so the price goes up. On the other hand, if you think the price will go down, the price will go down as people sell.

Certain investment tools also have a rule that says they will be bought or sold when this sign appears, so it is easy to buy or sell when this sign actually appears.

The stock beauty prediction I mentioned earlier is more likely to come true if you bet on someone everyone else thinks is beautiful, rather than betting on someone you think is beautiful.

Just because everyone says they're beautiful doesn't necessarily mean they're your type on an individual level. In every country and era, there are people who are considered beautiful and serve as models, and in modern times, it can be said that the average face, which is a mixture of all the people in the country, is the face that everyone can relate to.

Regarding the average face, I heard that people with average faces look attractive because they are familiar faces because they are a face that has things in common with many people. In other words, there is a psychological effect called the exposure effect, and research shows that the greater the number of exposures, the higher the sensitivity.

Well, I've written this article seriously up to this point, but even if you look at celebrities, people who are ranked high in the rankings may be considered beautiful according to your standards, but personally, I think they often aren't your type.

I think it's because the faces of these famous people tend to be clean, average faces that don't have any particular characteristics.

In the case of celebrities, there are many factors that go into the rankings, such as how well they are liked, whether they are good at singing or acting, etc., but celebrity beauty rankings are based on who they see rather than aggregating their personal types. It can be said that she is a beautiful woman who is convincing, and it is easier to predict the top of the ranking by recommending such a beautiful woman.

I'm talking about self-fulfilling prophecies here. If everyone has a common set of rules and promises that this will happen in this situation, then everyone will take the same actions, making that prophecy easier to come true.

In the end, the person who is most likely to make a prophecy come true depends on how many people can make that rule act. Because celebrities have influence, it is easier for them to mobilize a large number of people for a certain action than it is for the average person.

If you want to raise the stock price of a stock, as long as you have the influence to get more people to buy the stock, it is not difficult to make a profit with the stock. In that sense, if a founder is charismatic and has influence over many people, it can be said that when things are going well, they have a positive impact on the stock.

What is the conclusion this time? The answer is to outwit the rules. When it comes to investment tools, if there are signs that people are buying the tool, instead of just buying it with the flow, think of ways to outsmart those around you.

I'm not an investment professional, so I don't know exactly what to do, but there are rules everywhere that guide everyone, not just investing.

You should never break the rules and become a violation, but it is possible to make a big profit by writing behind the rules and not breaking the rules.

Aiming for this is the strategy of a small-scale leader called a nicher. Of course, the best leaders can have great influence on those around them and guide everyone in a direction that is convenient for them.

One answer from business administration is that each person's strategy changes depending on their position. that's all. Write on the back or be an influencer. See you soon.
